1 commentNew stuff that you should probably know…..
So, a little while ago Random hit me up to do a few beats for an upcoming project. He sent me a few of the master sessions for Marvin Gaye and asked me to flip them…I got 3 done on Friday. First time working at the beats for a while! I’ll see if I can get some more done soon. I can’t wait until the semester is DONE!
Oh yeah, LakaI and Mannotone now have tracks from me….aw yeah!
PS: I got my bass guitar back!!!! YES!!!!! I haven’t touched it in God knows how long, but it’s good to have it back! Maybe I can pick it back up again and incorporate it in some beats….
No commentsAdverse @ The Hidden House 03.24.08
Whew….finally got to go to a show. Haven’t been to one in quite a while and it’s sucked. Work, school, etc. etc. You know, life. I’m REALLY glad I actually got to go to this. Met up with Random, DN3, Maja, and Novelty. Random opened up the show and my crew Orchestra went on next with Equal Opportunity leading the way. Adverse….ladies just LOVE Adverse. Everyone ripped it. What a great night! I felt it in the A.M., but it was worth it. I also picked up Random’s LP The Call (FINALLY!) and Maja’s Amalgam Project. Listened to Maja’s for a bit now….haven’t gotten Random’s in but that’ll be soon!
No commentsWanna Battle?
So, Sunday night was the first beat battle I’ve ever been in. Mustafa threw it at The Loft and honestly, I had no clue what to expect. It was supposed to start @ 10 pm, but hey, this is ARIZONA HIPHOP……..we don’t start anything until close to midnight. Granted, it was last minute and everything so you want to wait until everyone shows up. Final count was:
Novelty hosting it, myself, Mustafa, A.T., Trauma, 5Star, and M.G.
No commentsThe future is now….
Okay, so here’s the scoop. I’ve been working on a few things that are fairly well known, and a few things that aren’t. For example, everyone (I would hope) knows about my little crew, The KnowNauts, which consists of myself and Micronaut. So, we released Naut’s Landing in what…2006 to semi critical acclaim, but we lost all the buzz for the project due to some financial burdens (ie. we were broke). Well, that’s in the past. Now after Micro’s NUMEROUS projects (i’d get cute and link you to all of them, but it would be impossible. No I’m not joking), we’re talking about finally doing A Bridge To The Desert again. Hey, the beats were only done a year ago. We also have a little side EP that we’re calling Somewhere Between Here And There. Those tracks happen to fall in between the 2 albums. We were thinking about putting it out as an “official M.L.A. release”, but I think I’d rather give it away at this point. Trust me, it’s a banger. It’ll be about 5 or 6 tracks that have the old production style and it’ll kinda segue into the direction that we went for the upcoming project. Who knows, maybe will give Naut’s Landing away for free too….
So that’s what’s up with Kn. On a few other notes, I’m working on a project that will be just myself and a member of the Legends Of The Ecclessia camp. I can’t get into full details, but this will take a while to finish. I’m also working on an instrumental LP and honestly, it’s about time. No, this isn’t going to be an LP with nothing but bangers for you and your crew to rap over, but this is going to explore the creative side of me and what I can do. I’m already done an interlude that I’ll post for you soon….it’s called the Re-Assembly Line and it’s a chop / re-edit of the Commodores “Assembly Line” break. This project is for me to explore the depths of myself and to see what else I can do.
Oh yeah, the LP with Kers and I is produced…..all he needs to do is write and record. The American Gamer LP with Random is available for free download as well.
I REALLY need to compile a discography……….
Oh, BTW, I’m in a beat battle at The Loft on Sunday around 10PM…come and support dope Phoenix hiphop…

Even though it was about 2 weeks ago…..please forgive my dirty floor. All for a buck a piece. It’s time to start re-establishing my collection since MG! got them in the great move-out-quick-of-the-apartment move. It’s okay, I kept the heat…you know that!

My first post….
Word. So, welcome to the home of the Paco Cerda a.k.a pac0naut a.k.a Cerdaphide A.K.A The Late Night Hustle…at least the music part of it. Here, this will be my music blog instead of trying to maintain the personal myspace page mixed with the music blog. So, yeah….bookmark me, comment, and stuff. I’ll try to keep this updated as much as possible and get a new theme or something to make it look all snazzy and stuff.
