So, over @ Sphere Of Hiphop, Plastic hit me up to do 7 questions.  Never mind the intro.  He got lucky this year.  I was pretty sure Micro or I locked up the Sphere Of Hiphop fantasy baseball title.  I’m really upset about that.  I mean really.  My fantasy team collapsed like the Mets last year.  Ugh.  Terrible I tell you, Terrible.

So, about the same time I was working on The Bar Wars Project I was working on this project with Micronaut a.k.a. the Microphone Astronaut hailing from San Francisco.   This was my first ACTUAL release on physical media, a.k.a. CD’s.  This project was done through our squad, MLA.

I’m really glad Random’s getting the shine now. He truly deserves it. He works hard, hustles, and puts out fantastic music.

This project was the first EP I ever handled the production on it by myself.  It’s extremely special to me in the fact that it pretty much put me on the map.  We released this in two trilogies (like the movies), 3 tracks each plus a bonus track from YSG.  We each took Star Wars names for this and it turned out pretty cool.  We ended up making Editor’s Pick (even though their review made NO sense at ALL) on Cnet’s download.com when we released it.  I know a lot of people that bump this STILL, and you should too.  This was a quality project that we’re all very proud of. So, a little while ago Random hit me up to do a few beats for an upcoming project. He sent me a few of the master sessions for Marvin Gaye and asked me to flip them…I got 3 done on Friday. First time working at the beats for a while! I’ll see if I can get some more done soon. I can’t wait until the semester is DONE!

Oh yeah, LakaI and Mannotone now have tracks from me….aw yeah!

PS: I got my bass guitar back!!!! YES!!!!! I haven’t touched it in God knows how long, but it’s good to have it back! Maybe I can pick it back up again and incorporate it in some beats….
